Stars from the successful TV series Game of Thrones will be attending Saudi Arabia’s Comic Con in the country’s first event of its kind that will be held in Jeddah.
Charles Dance who is known for his role as Tywin Lannister and Julian Glover who plays the role of Grand Maester Pycelle in the American show will both be guest speakers at the event which will be held from February 16 until February 18.
Mikkelsen who stars as Dr. Hannibal Lecter in the NBC series Hannibal but mainly known for his major role in James Bond Casino Royale, will also be attending the event.
The Saudi Comic Con will hold panel discussions on films, comics and anime, with various activities and celebrity appearances from the region.
Comic Con is expected to attract 25,000 attendees from across Saudi Arabia, providing a boost to the local economy.
Originating in California, Comic Con has become an international pop culture phenomenon. Regionally, the event came to Dubai several years ago and has been a great success, bringing leading international stars to the UAE every year.
