Invisible bombs kill civilians in Mosul

Published: Updated:

Iraqi forces and civilians are obliviously stepping on improvised explosive devices ( IEDs) which have been implanted by ISIS in the city of Mosul.

IEDs are home-made bombs, deployed by the extremist in various ways ranging from road-side bombs, landmines, and car bombs.

The explosives are unnoticeable, killing civilians when the least expected.

The military operation to eliminate ISIS from Iraq’s second city began last year in October, and is expected to last only a few more weeks.
