The Vice President of a Washington-DC based think tank says the US Military has had six years to prepare for the missile strikes on Syria.
Jonathan Schanzer of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies described Friday morning's attack, with close to 60 tomahawk missiles targeting a government-controlled air base in Syria, as “measured.”

He added if the US decided to strike again, "there will not be a dearth of targets available to them." "These strikes were long overdue, that the United States should have been responding for the last six years to atrocities carried out by Assad against his own people", Schanzer said.
But, he cautioned, care should be taken to ensure the US didn't enter into a full-blown war.
