VIDEO: How a Saudi Typhoon fighter jet refuels in midair

Days ago, the general public were treated to a video showing the refueling of Saudi fighter jets by the Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) plane while flying over the Atlantic Ocean.

Typhoon fighter jets flew from King Fahad Air Base in Taif, Saudi Arabia, to reach Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada, the United States, in order to share participate in a joint-training exercise.

Saudi Crown Prince and Defense Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman has previously stressed Saudi Arabia’s will to strengthen its military and defense capabilities through the modernization of its armed forces, led by the Royal Saudi Air Force, and its desire to own the latest aircraft technology in the world.

Saudi Arabia ranks 4th in terms of defense spending and considered a strategic ally to the US government. Since the early 1970s, a major cooperative project has taken place between Saudi Arabia and the US on a wide range of joint projects including developing capacity of the Saudi air forces, training, maintenance, supplying, and supporting facilities.
