A CCTV video has emerged showing the suspected attackers behind last week’s Barcelona terror attack laughing at a petrol station in Cambrils earlier that same day.
A Spanish news site had featured images of the three young men at the petrol stop, one they allegedly frequented. The site also noted that the men had visited the stop four times the same day.
Similarly, ISIS that immediately claimed responsibility for the attack in Catalonia, had aired footage on Wednesday night showing images of the aftermath of the attack. They also showed two of its militants appearing on screen sending threats in Spanish language to the country.
The militants also promised “revenge for the Spanish Inquisition of 1478 and for all the spilt Muslim blood.” Meanwhile, investigators continue to look into whether the current attack suspects have any connection to such events in France and Belgium. They are also looking into their movements over the last few weeks in hopes of finding any potential terror modules in Europe.
