An investigation is underway in Egypt after a family consisting of a father, mother and two sons were found murdered in their home in Izbat Alhawi in Kafr El Dawwar on Friday.
A security source said the bodies were discovered by relatives who broke into the house after their attempts to reach the victims failed.
The father, identified as Abdulaziz, his wife and two sons all had their throats slit.
Security forces who examined the crime scene found marks on the father’s and sons’ bodies, which means that they resisted the assailant’s attack. The family’s jewelry and money were not stolen which led to the belief that the crime’s motive was not theft.
There were also no signs of broken entry as the door and windows were all closed from the inside. Neighbors said the last time they saw the family was on Thursday evening so the crime is most likely to have happened in the early hours of Friday.
