Crown Prince to father of slain soldier: I will avenge the death of your son
Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman spoke in a phone call on Tuesday night with Faisal al-Sbei, the father of soldier Abdullah al-Sbei who died in a terrorist attack on Saturday.
The attackers targeted the external guard post of the Al Salam Palace in Jeddah, leaving two soldiers dead and three others injured.
Speaking to the martyr’s father, the crown prince said: “We have learned from the incident, however with God’s will, they [have fought and died] for the sake of God.”
The father responded, saying that he and his sons are loyal to the kingdom, their religion and the king.
The crown prince continued saying: “May God bless you, and they [the fallen] have strengthened our will.”
“I want you to know two things; I will avenge your son’s death. I will avenge him from every extremist and terrorist in this country. Secondly, I want you to consider me as one of your children,” he added.
