They are all being published for the first time. A team of international researchers and freelance journalists belonging to different nationalities has been working on the book.

The book reveals, for the first time, secrets related to the establishment of al-Qaeda in Syria before the start of the Syrian revolution. It also sheds light on al-Qaeda in Iraq, ISIS, Fatah al-Islam, and the relationship between them.

The book will also include undisclosed interviews that reveal real big names and show the life and movements of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

The inner circle

These details are based on the account of his inner circle, interviews of other militant leaders, as well as exclusive and rare interviews conducted by journalist Medyan Dairieh with the leaders, fighters and their families, in Iraq, Syria, and other countries. It will cover events that have taken place before and after the Syrian revolution.

Medyan’s book discusses the secrets of Fatah al-Islam for the first time and reveals its relationship with al-Qaeda and ISIS. It also gives a glimpse of the developments taking place within the organization at various stages.

The book contains detailed information unveiled as a result of interviews and secret correspondence between leaders of Fatah al-Islam, al-Qaeda, and ISIS, as well as the varying relations among them.

The book also reveals secrets related to the disappearance of Fatah al-Islam leader, Shaker al-Absi, and provides real names and nationalities of the intelligence agent “heroines” who succeeded in infiltrating these organizations and gaining access to leaders of the most dangerous, complex, and secretive organizations.

Palestinian pilot

The book reveals how Palestinian pilot Shaker al-Absi was preparing to attack deep inside Israel, using suicide bombers, and firing missiles from countries sharing border with Israel.

This coincided with the setting up by Fatah al-Islam of another group of suicide bombers, targeting US and British embassies in the Middle East, as revenge against their occupation of Iraq.

The book also reveals precise details related to the participation of Fatah al-Islam in the assassination of a US diplomat in Jordan. The focus of the book then shifts to the battle of Nahr al-Bared and shows how Fatah al-Islam was completely annihilated in this battle.

It also sheds light on the prosecution by the intelligence services of al-Absi and how they reached him as well as Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

Birth of ISIS

The book also describes the circumstances related to establishment of ISIS, its objectives, strategy, ideology and slogans from the beginning of its inception until now.

Medyan has met with the leaders of ISIS in Syria, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, and Afghanistan. He was the first journalist to enter ISIS territories. ISIS announced the establishment of the so-called “Caliphate” and al-Baghadi made his first public appearance in Raqqa, the organization’s declared capital.

The book also discusses the al-Nusra Front and all the militant movements in Syria, their views, ideologies, their establishment, their struggles, and the relationship between their members and leaders. It also throws light on the movement and its people.

Medyan is considered the first journalist to have met members of the al-Nusra Front in its beginning phases. He is also the first journalist to make a documentary on the subject. Medyan has also met all militant movements in Syria without exception.

Following his visits to Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Libya, Afghanistan, Somalia, and Lebanon, journalist Medyan has compiled a large number of reports and documentaries on these groups. He has a vast body of information and exclusive interviews, which form the core of this book.

The team is currently working on the English, Arabic, Turkish and Italian editions of the book, to be followed by French and Spanish translations.
