Emirati volunteer doctors operate specialist clinics to treat Rohingya refugees
A new humanitarian and volunteer initiative known as UAE Doctors has been established in Bangladesh to aid fleeing refugees from Myanmar.
The team which comprises of Emirati medical volunteers has been operating in a Rohingya camp in Cox’s Bazar.
A series of clinics based in the camp constitute the initiative which ensures necessary diagnostics, treatments and prevention measures are available.
According to The National, the initiative is run under the supervision of senior consultants and specialists from Zayed Humanitarian Hospital.
