UK-Saudi CEO Forum hosts panel on empowering women as part of economic vision
On the sidelines of the historic visit to the UK by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, a special forum was held with multiple session hosting different government and business leaders of Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom.
The second session of the day focused on the role of “Women in Leadership: Empowering Rising Leaders”.
With the role of women becoming a central pillar to the to Saudi Vision 2030, this discussion aimed to outline the socio-economic reforms undertaken by the Saudi government to create an inspiring environment for women to play a greater role in the society.
Key areas for discussion included: Identify mechanisms that encourage female participation at all levels of society, government and business, understanding the challenges facing women entrepreneurs and business leaders and applying this to shape future policy actions and showcasing the progress made and dispel any cultural misunderstandings.

The session included President of the Federation for Community Sports in Saudi Arabia Princess Reema bint Bandar, Saudi Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Development Tamader Al-Rammah, Dr. Basma Saleh Al-Buhairan, CEO of Samba Financial Group Rania Nashar and, Executive Manager of Misk Innovation Deemah Alyahya.
