An Iranian-Canadian man whose wife was killed when Iran shot down a civilian airliner called the Iranian regime “criminals” in a video that has gone viral on social media.
The unidentified man is shown speaking at what appeared to be a vigil for the victims of the attack on a Ukrainian civilian plane.
“In order to keep power, [the Islamic Republic leaders] kill innocent people like flies. Animals have more mercy than them.” he said while crying.
The grieving man also extended his condolences to the people of Iran.
“To 80 million people who burn and suffer because of a bunch of murderers,” he said to the crowd while weeping. “The Islamic Republic are all criminals.”
Iran announced on Saturday that its military “unintentionally” shot down the Ukrainian jetliner on January 8, killing all 176 aboard, after the government had repeatedly denied Western accusations that it was responsible.
Demonstrations have erupted since the regime admitted responsibility.
