Published: Updated:
World Wrestling Entertainment has performed their show live in Egypt for the first time on Thursday, WWE said on its website.

The WWE smack down crew will run three shows starting Thursday in Cairo.

The Cairo Stadium Complex is hosting the event which will see top wrestling stars take to the ring. Big names include: Sheamus, Big Show, Alberto Del Rio, Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston, The Miz, Zack Ryder, Jinder Mahal, Natalya and others, WWE said.

The Egyptian tour comes after a successful WWE Raw World Tour in Abu Dhabi on February where more than 16,000 fans took to the International Tennis Complex in the city.

With its debut in Egypt, WWE continues to expand the reach of its international business. It has performed in six new countries in 2012.

The WWE group is collaborating with Egyptian live events promoter, Creative Design, to bring the tour to fans in Cairo. The events company had previously worked with WWE in Doha and Qatar last year.
