‘Gone in 60 seconds’ car for sale in UAE

A car from the Hollywood blockbuster ‘Gone In 60 Seconds’ is being sold off in the UAE, reported 7days on Wednesday.

The sleek sliver 1967 Ford Mustang which is powered by a 650bhp turbo engine is up for sale on the website Dubizzle.

Driven in the movie by Nicolas Cage, car enthusiasts in the UAE can buy their way behind the wheel for Dhs 470,000 ($128,015.46), down from the original price of Dhs 510,000.

The car’s Dubai-based owner, Faisal Ballaith, says it is “amazing,” and reveals that the engine is engraved with the movie title as well the signatures of the actors involved. The cast list reads like a who’s who of Hollywood and includes Angelina Jolie.

The car is truly one of a kind, “This car is something that nobody else has…it’s a collector’s car,” says Ballaith.

The owner says he has heard from several interested potential buyers, “I have one guy who really wants to buy it …He’s very famous.”

Dubizzle marketing manager Barry Judge told 7days that car was one of just 11 Eleanor Shelby Mustang’s made for the movie, six were written of during filming.
