Egyptian authorities on Tuesday have stopped the illegal smuggling of 761 legal books and volumes dating back to the 1900’s at Cairo’s international airport, the state-run paper al-Ahram reported on Tuesday.

The ministry of antiquities said the old books - found among other parcels at the airport’s cargo terminal - were being transported to Kuwait.

After investigations have been completed, the collection will be handed over to the country’s syndicate of lawyers.
