Zaazoue is the only Egyptian in the business magazine's “30 under 30” list
An Egyptian doctor has been chosen by Forbes magazine for its "30 under 30 list” of the world's top achievers under the age of 30.
Mohammad Zaazoue, a neurosurgeon by trade, appears in the social entrepreneurs category of the list for his efforts with Ashoka, a global network of social entrepreneurs.
The 26-year-old is the only Egyptian citizen on the business magazine‘s list.
Zaazoue also participated to the coordination of World Pneumonia Day in 2011, according to the Cairo-based daily Egypt Independent.
Along with the Egyptian doctor, other Arab figures made it to the top 30 including Bahraini Esra’a al-Shafei, the director of Mideast Youth, an activist-promoting non-profit organization, and Jordanian Kamel al-Asmar, founder of Nakhweh, which claims to be the first volunteerism and development network in the Arab world.
The list features other prominent figures such as tennis star Maria Sharapova and pop sensation Justin Bieber.
