Bollywood's Salman Khan jokes about jail during Dubai performance
It was the first time Khan was appearing after his jail term was suspended
Bollywood star Salman Khan openly made fun of his jail term during a performance in Dubai, according to the UAE-based news website Gulf News.
During his appearance on Friday at the Arab Indo Bollywood Awards, Khan awarded director Sajid Nadiadwala for his movie "Kick."
Speaking about the movie, Nadiadwala said that the making was so intense that Khan would probably not make any other films for the next few years.
Khan sarcastically replied: “That’s because I have no dates available.”
The artist was referring to his five-year jail term for killing a homeless man in a 2002 hit-and-run driving incident in Mumbai.
It was the first time Khan was appearing after his jail term was suspended.
Khan needs permission to leave India.
