The iconic Lebanese singer Fairouz has released a new album entitled ‘Bebalee’, featuring 10 new songs that have been sampled and reimagined from western classics like John Lennon’s Imagine and Julie Covington’s Don't Cry for Me Argentina.

Some of the 80-year-old diva’s critics have mixed reactions, with some saying Fairouz has given up on her distinct Lebanese culture as she made the new album.
