Yanni in praise of Saudi audience: My Jeddah concert marked ‘a lot of firsts’
In an expression of gratitude and appreciation, the international artist and musician Yanni praised the audience who came to meet him Thursday evening in Jeddah, saying: “You filled my heart with love and passion.”

He added in a tweet: “What an incredible night in Jeddah! There can only be one first time and tonight we witnessed and experienced a lot of firsts for KSA! It was beautiful to see! The General Authority for Entertainment had announced that the concerts would be held in the presence of families in King Abdullah Economic City in Jeddah on Thursday and Friday (November 30 and December 1), and at the Princess Noura Bint Abdulrahman University in Riyadh on Sunday and Monday (December 3 and 4 ).
Two additional shows are scheduled at the King Abdulaziz International Cultural Center in Dhahran on Wednesday and Thursday (December 6 and 7).
Prior to his arrival, Yanni had published a picture of him with his daughter Kristian through his Twitter account, and commented: “Here’s the great journey going.” A few hours later, he also posted a video from Florida, just before the plane took off for Jeddah. “It’s on its way to Saudi Arabia and it will stop first in Dubai,” he said.
