London-based chain Vue Cinemas have signed a joint venture deal to open a host of locations across Saudi Arabia, after the kingdom announced the 35-year cinema ban was coming to an end.
Vue signed the deal with Abdulmohsin Al Hokair Holding Group, which constructs and operates malls and hotels, The Telegraph reported.
“The joint venture is planning to open 30 multiplex cinemas in existing Al Hokair developments as well as in new sites planned in the next three years,” the newspaper stated.
