The queen of pop, Madonna, traveled to Morocco on Thursday to celebrate her 60th birthday.
On her personal Instagram account where she has almost 12 million followers, the singer posted a picture wearing traditional Moroccan clothing, captioning the picture: Berber queen.
“Today I am wearing C A K E on my head, 2 more days,” she wrote as a caption on one of her latest posts wearing Berber jewelry, before revealing the destination where she will be spending her special day.
Ahead of her birthday, Madonna held a $60,000 fundraiser for Raising Malawi, her non-profit charity organization that was founded by her and Michael Berg in 2006 that offers humanitarian aid to orphans.
The 60-year-old has adopted four Malawian children and has been encouraging her fans to donate to her foundation as a birthday gift.
According to local media, Madonna is planning on hosting her birthday party at the Riad El Fenn hotel in Marrakesh.
