Thousands of Filipino residents and visitors in Saudi Arabia are being treated to a series of concerts at an event being dubbed “Filipino Night” on Friday as part of the Riyadh Season festival.
Performances from Filipino band TNT Boys and artists Ogie Alcasid and Lara Maigue took the 22,000-seat Mohammed Abdo theater in Riyadh boulevard.
Established in 2017, the TNT Boys is one of the most successful bands to come out of the Philippines in recent years. They managed to set a record for the number of attendees during their first concert in 2018 at the Araneta Coliseum in Manila, Philippines.
“Don’t miss your favorite artists performing on stage like TNT Boys, Ogie Alcasid, and Lara Maigue now starting from SR50, celebrating 50 years of Saudi-Philippines diplomatic relations,” Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority said in a statement when it announced the event.
Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh Season has brought nearly 14 international star acts and an array of exclusive shows to the country’s capital. The season, which began on October 11, will end on December 15.
