Miss Universe for year 2017, Iris Mittenaere, has been sharing pictures of herself touring around Egyptian cities on Instagram part of a visit aimed at promoting tourism in the country.
The 24-year-old French model posed for pictures near the iconic Giza Pyramids and Great Sphinx.
“This afternoon was amazing ... learning more about the Egyptian civilization, the pyramids, is so interesting,” she wrote under her picture’s caption.
In another picture she posed at one of Alexandria’s landmark seafood restaurants.
Mittenaere ran the pictures under the hashtag "This Is Egypt", the slogan of the country’s official tourism campaign.
She is also set to participate in a charity event in Luxor for Egypte Terre d’Espoir that offers educational services to poor children in the city, including apprenticeships in pottery.
