King Abdul Aziz Camel Festival kicks off in Saudi Arabia

The second edition of King Abdul Aziz Camel Festival kicked off Monday under the patronage of Saudi King Salman in Riyadh’s southern Sayahdah district of Al-Dahnaa.

The festival will be accompanied by a series of cultural activities prepared by the festival administration under the slogan: Camels and civilization.

The camels judging committees have started evaluating the camels after their owners testified to their ownership before the committee. The parade on Monday witnessed the participation of both the Fardi Dhaq Shaal and the Fardi Dhaq Homer.

The camel owners who presented their camel’s individuals skills in front of the committee in the Fardi - Dhaq - Shaal category are: Bader Al-Humaidi, Meteb Al-Mutairi, Hamad Jafran Saad Al-Subaie, Suhmi Abdul Hadi Hamad Al-Hajri, Saad Ali Abdullah Al-Nuseib, Saud Zaid Saud Al Gharbi, Sultan Khamikh al Sufrani , Suleiman Mohsen Mosarqaa Al-Ajmi, Shabib Faisal Qablan al-Dosari, Saleh Abdullah Saud al-Ajmi, Abdullah Mofrah Maied al-Rashidi, Mutlaq Saqr Al-Futtaimani Al-Sahli, Nawaf Manahi Moeedh Al Otaibi, Hazal Safar Abdullah Al Otaibi.

The camel owners who presented their camel’s individuals skills in front of the committee in the Fardi Dhaq Homer category are: Bandar Fahad Jakhdab Al Saadi, Jalal Mohammed Abdul Moneim Al Buqami, Hamad Mohammad Hamad Al Mansour, Khalid Saad Obaidallah Al Lehiani, Sultan Mohammed Fahad Al Ghaithi, Saeal Mohammed Dhiaffallah al Sheloui, Fahad Abdullah Ali Osaimi, Faisal Shabib Daghim Al-Mutairi, Faisal Mahimid Khasaywi Al-Otaibi, Kaseeb Khalifa Fadghous Al-Otaibi, Mubarak Salim Hadi Al-Jaidi, Mohsen Faleh Saud Al-Otaibi, Mohammed Saud Joudan Al-Otaibi, Mohamed Mseifer Mofleh Alsawat, Muqrin Daij Obaid Al Otaibi.

The event was also attended by visitors and photography enthusiasts who attended the festival site this morning. They also watched the performances held before the jury and were briefed on the events that will take place in the popular market during the festival period.
