Dubai’s Crown Prince Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammad bin Rashid al-Maktoum alongside the deputy prime minister and ministry of interior, Shaikh Saif bin Zayed al Nahyan, visited the newly constructed Warner Bros World Indoor Theme Park on Monday, July 23.
The leaders inaugurated the theme park and inspected six of its main features. They were also briefed on the construction and planning process being followed for the construction of this phase of the project.
Following his visit to the theme park, Mohammed bin Zayed tweeted: “Mohammed bin Rashid & I were delighted to inaugurate Warner Bros. World, the world’s 1st Warner Bros. branded indoor theme park on Yas Island. We are developing the tourism sector to position the UAE among top global destinations for family entertainment & leisure.”

Chairman of Miral asset management, Mohammed al-Mubarak, who was also present, said: “This is a milestone moment for us as we continue to cement Abu Dhabi’s positioning as one of the world’s leading family and tourism destinations.”
Both the Dubai ruler and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince were given a tour around the park and surveyed the wide range of features including all the parks. They are also scheduled to attend the grand opening ceremony on July 25.
The 1.65 million square feet amusement park has been set up at a cost of $1 billion over 10 years. The park has 29 rides and caters to the needs of visitors where each sector will have a featured live performance. Abu Dhabi hopes to build more tourism destinations such as SeaWorld Abu Dhabi and plans to expand Ferrari World by 2022.
