Tourists and residents can now take a ferry boat that connects two of Dubai’s major malls: Dubai Mall and Dubai Marina Mall, in a journey that takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has partnered up with Emaar Properties and launched a ferry service connecting the two malls in Dubai via water.

The ferry rides will begin operating next week and will offer views of Dubai as well as be a means of transportation. Visitors can see the city’s skyline on Sheikh Zayed Road and the Dubai Canal.

According to RTA’s CEO Ahmed Bahrozyan, many visitors and residents are interested in the marine transport network.

“The new service will add to the delight of users, who can cover two of the most popular malls effortlessly while enjoying scenic vistas of the city,” he said.

Ferry tickets can be purchased online, from At the Top, Burj Khalifa, or through guest service desks in both malls and at ferry stations. The cost will be Dh68.25 for adults and Dh52.5 for children aged 5-12.
