Video: Aerial footage shows famous London landmarks empty amid coronavirus lockdown
The streets of London looked empty on Wednesday as Britons adapt to a coronavirus lockdown.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson ordered Britons on Monday to stay at home to halt the spread of the virus, imposing unprecedented curbs on everyday life in peacetime.
The restrictions, which will last at least three weeks, are intended to stop the state-run National Health Service (NHS) being overwhelmed by coronavirus cases.
As of Wednesday, the UK had 8,077 confirmed coronavirus cases and 422 deaths.
