French footballer Anthony Martial swiftly moved to correct his blunder after tweeting to Muslims worldwide, wishing them a happy Eid, problem being – it’s not Eid, it’s Ramadan.
Eid al-Fitr is the Muslim festival that comes after the fasting month of Ramadan.
After deleting the tweet, the Manchester United forward posted a Ramadan message instead. But it wasn’t before many on Twitter mock-celebrated Martial’s Eid announcement.
