The 66-year old man who shot Republican Congressman Steve Scalise raged about US President Donald Trump on Facebook in 2015, USATODAY reported.
“Here’s a Republican that should lose his job, but they gave him a raise,” Virginia shooter James T. Hodgkinson allegedly wrote in a 2015 post to his Facebook account, referring to the House Majority Whip.
In a March 22 Facebook post, Hodgkinson, described as Trump a “traitor.”
“Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy,” he said. “It’s Time to Destroy Trump & Co.”
Earlier this week, the suspect called for a campaign to impeach the president.
“Trump is Guilty & Should Go to Prison for Treason,” Hodgkinson wrote.
