French team tweets their ‘respect’ for Croatia after thrilling World Cup final

The official Twitter account of France’s national football team showed an act of sportsmanship when they immediately tweeted their respect for their Croatian opponents after winning a thrilling World Cup final match.

“Congratulations to @HNS_CFF for a great tournament and a thrilling game. Respect,” they tweeted.

The Croatian Football Federation official Twitter account then responded in kind by congratulating France with an accompanying photo of the French team carrying their coach Didier Deschamps in celebration.

France clinched its second World Cup title with a 4-2 win over Croatia in a dramatic final in Moscow featuring a series of firsts.
