Estonian President Toomas Ilves rips off his glasses and then his earpiece during the interview

Estonia’s president ended an interview with Sky News’ Dermot Murnaghan after the presenter got his name wrong, reported the Independent newspaper on Sunday.

In the interview, Estonian President Toomas Ilves rips off his glasses and then his earpiece after Murnaghan introduces him first as “President Toomas Hendrik” and then as “President Hendrik.”

Hendrik is the Estonian leader’s middle name.

The Independent said the Estonian president could be heard as saying something about “getting my name right,” which is not entirely audible in the clip.

After several awkward seconds of silence between the two, Murnaghan says: “I’m sorry we don’t seem to be able to speak to the president of Estonia” and then announces a “quick look at the weather.”
