Social media users across the Arab and Western world are commending Al Arabiya’s first-of-a-kind coverage of the United States elections.

Al Arabiya News Channel’s coverage is being considered one of the most sophisticated, technical and visual of the American elections ever seen from an Arab news channel.

Al Arabiya is using the 30-meter-high Dubai-based Middle East Broadcast Channel’s building as a video wall itself, and the famous Media City lake as another tool for projecting augmented visuals of the electoral college map, the White House and Capitol Hill buildings.
Al Arabiya has partnered with a company to make use of the latest camera technologies in using the spider cameras normally used in live coverage in football stadiums.

There are new technologies these days that have opened new horizons for us and we’ve been planning on how to execute this plan since January,” says Al Arabiya’s Senior Manager of on air graphics Fadi Radi.
