Saudi Arabia’s information minister meets Malaysian counterpart

Saudi Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Adel bin Zaid Altoraifi has met with Malaysian Minister of Multimedia and Communications Saleh Keruak at his counterpart’s ministerial headquarters on the sidelines of the visit being paid by Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud to Kuala Lumpur.

During the meeting, they stressed the exchange of radio and television experiences and cultural and documentary television programs between Saudi and Malaysian media to promote the pure image of the Islamic religion, a statement on Saudi Press Agency read.

Dr. Altoraifi praised Malaysia’s media role in ASEAN Organization as well as in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

Altoraifi also met Malaysian Minister of Education Dr. Mahdzir Khalid and they discussed a number of topics of common concern pertaining to cultural affairs and Malaysia’s participation as a guest of honor in Riyadh International Book Fair scheduled for March.

The Saudi minister stressed the importance of cooperation and cultural participation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Malaysia, and they discussed aspects of cooperation in the field of cultural exchanges between the two sides for participation in cultural activities and events being held in the two countries.
