Editorial board member of Iran’s Fars news agency dies of coronavirus

A member of the editorial board of Iran’s semi-official Fars news agency has died of coronavirus, the agency said on Monday.

Abdollah Zavieh died of coronavirus in Tehran’s Baghiyyatollah hospital on Monday, Fars said.

The 57-year-old had worked at Fars for over 15 years, the agency said.

Fars is closely affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

As of Monday, 1,812 in Iran have died from coronavirus, and there are 23,049 confirmed cases.
