The U.N .cultural agency UNESCO granted endangered World Heritage status to ancient terraces in the West Bank that are under threat from the Israeli separation barrier.
The U.N. agency also added a historic factory building symbolizing Japan's industrialization from the 19th century, to the World Cultural Heritage list.
