Syrian refugees in Jordan’s Zaatari camp gathered for Eid al-Fitr prayers on Thursday to mark the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
The refugee camp is considered Jordan’s largest, hosting more than 120,000 Syrians who have fled the ongoing civil war in their country.
“We feel sad because we are out of our homes, and we wish to return back home as soon as possible,” refugee Abu Khalid told Reuters.
Jordan has experienced an influx of refugees from its northern neighbor.
