To meet the increasing influx of pilgrims and improve the overall structure, 6 levels have been created for the stoning ritual. Each level can sustain 120,000 pilgrims on an hourly basis.

The project size, including the slopes and the eastern and western plazas is 2 square kms, and amounts to 4.2 billion Saudi Riyals. Al-Jamarat facilities do not only include passages to accommodate pilgrims, but also security headquarters for all government services deployed across 6 towers, with each service designated a mission. The operations room has been equipped with the latest equipment that monitors the crowds through a surveillance program that includes 100 high-tech cameras covering all corners.

Moreover, 450 air conditioners are installed to help regulate the temperature.
