The seventh-time champions are competing again for the FIFA Club World Cup after recently winning a game against Tunisia’s Esperance in the Champions League.
The Egyptian team will be having Sherif Ekrami, Ahmed Adel and Mahmoud Sauod as goalkeepers while Wael Gomaa, Mohamed Naguib, Rami Rabie, Saadeddin Samir, Sheif Abdel Fadil, Ahmed Fathi, Sayed Moawad and Ahmed Shedid are defenders.
Star athlete Mohamed Aboutreika, together with Ahmed Seddik, Ahmed Shokry, Hosssam Ghaly, Hossam Ashour, Shehabeddin Ahmed, Mahmoud Hassan, Mohamed Barakat, Abdullah El-Said, Wali Soliman, are named as midfielders.
Strikers, players responsible for kicking in scores for the team, are Mohammed Nagy Gedo, Emad Meteb, El-Sayed Hamdy and Dominique Da Silva.
Ahly beat Esperance in a 3-2 game last Nov. 17 giving them a record-breaking seventh cling to the title.
