AC Milans El Shaarawy haircut angers Berlusconi

Published: Updated:
The weird hairstyle of AC Milan’s top scorer Stephan El Shaarawy angered the Italian club owner and the country's ex-prime minister Silvio Berlusconi, a local newspaper reported on Thursday.

The newspaper quoted the team’s hairdresser saying that Berlusconi tried to force El Shaarawy, who is of Egyptian decent, to cut his hair. But the later refused, considering this a private matter, reported La Provincia di Varese.

The hairdresser said he had shortened El Shaarawy’s hair, in order not to show the player’s sharp haircut, although many of the Italian club fans tend to like it, as some request to do the exact hairstyle.

Berlusconi had previously asked El Shaarawy to cut his hair when he first signed the contract with AC Milan, telling him not to keep the “exotic” hair cut for too long.
