Dubai’s Al Ahli has taken home for the second time, the 2013 UAE Beach Soccer League after an exciting match against Al Nasr 4-2 on Saturday.
Al Ahlis foreign players, Joao Vittorio Madjer and Nuno Miguel, both scored pushing the team to their win.
Al Nasr kick started the match in the opening minute when Lebanese striker Haitham Fattal nicked a goal from the keeper Humaid Jamal.
During the second half, Al Ahli’s Portuguese player Madjer skillfully scored the team’s first goal with an overhead strike of the ball which ended up smacking the net.
In the final stages of the game, Miguel took the ball from Madjer, and got his goal which threw Al Ahli into the lead.
However, Rami Mosabi made it 3-1 a minute later and in the final two minutes, Madjer scored winning Al Ahli their title.
Both teams CEO’s along with Ali Omar and Nasser Al Rahma from the Dubai Sports Council handed out the trophies. Al Ahli received a cheque for Dhs 50,000 (USD 13,615).
