Egypt's experienced left back returns to Ahly after injury

Published: Updated:

Egypt's Ahly football team will again benefit from its experienced left-back Sayed Moawad, who returns to the team Wednesday after six months of absence.

Moawad will be part of the team during its next match against Maqassa in the Egyptian Premier League, reported Ahram Online.

Moawad's name appears in Ahly's Wednesday match squad, but his participation in the starting line-up is to be decided by coach Hossam el-Badry, the website said.

The 33-year-old player has been a regular starter at Egypt's national team. A foot injury kept him out of action since October, the website added.

Ahly, meanwhile, will miss midfielder Hossam Ashour due to a toothache, said Ahram Online, quoting the club's official website
