Morocco and Uzbekistan's football teams shared points in a goalless draw in Fifa Under-17 World Cup Group C’s second match at the Fujairah Stadium in the UAE on Monday.
Morocco dominated the first half of the match, but never managed to gain any results. Uzbekistan revived its performance in the second half but a consistent series of counterattacks failed to deliver any goals, according to UAE-based daily Gulf News.
Attempts from Moroccan players Hamza Sakhi and Karim Achabar failed to penetrate Uzbekistan keeper Sarvar Karimov, who abled warded off any sudden attempts on his ground.
Uzbekistan’s chances seemed to lift when a spirited free kick led to Ibrokhim Abdullaev heading the ball back near the goal.
Shohjahon Abbasov delivered a late header over from a corner, but neither side managed to break through.
