Man United, DHL bring Premier League trophy to Dubai

DHL will deliver the Premier League trophy to 31 destinations in 25 countries

Manchester United and DHL Express brought the Barclays Premier League trophy to Dubai on Tuesday, as part of a worldwide tour.

Manchester United is celebrating its historic 20th league title, and has teamed up with its Official Logistics Partner, DHL, to launch the United Trophy Tour.

DHL will deliver the Premier League trophy to 31 destinations, in 25 countries across the globe in 2014.

“We are delighted to have this opportunity to showcase how DHL delivers one of the world’s most successful sporting clubs to the world, said Frank-Uwe Ungerer, country manager for DHL Express UAE, Emirates 27/7 reported.

“DHL shares the commitment to excellence that Manchester United displays year after year on the football pitch, and we look forward to participating in this celebration of the Club’s sporting success with fans, customers and employees in the United Arab Emirates,” Ungerer added.

Richard Arnold, group managing director for Manchester United, said: “The 20th league title was a huge milestone in the history of the Club and the United Trophy Tour, delivered to the world by DHL, presents a fantastic opportunity to celebrate this achievement on a global scale.

Former Manchester United player Dwight Yorke accompanied the famous the famous silverware the UAE. Yorke expressed his faith in the team’s efforts to improve its performance and quickly adapt with new new manager, David Moyes, who joined the club last May, succeeding Sir Alex Ferguson.
