Africa Cup of Nations teams square off in Cairo
The tournament will be held in Morocco from Jan 17 to Feb 8
The draws for the preliminary and group phases of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Morocco took place on Sunday at the Confederation of African Football (CAF) headquarters in Cairo.
The CAF announced on Saturday that the tournament will be held in Morocco from Jan 17 to Feb 8.
The statement by CAF stated the group phases and their locations, the BBC reported.
Group A will be based in Marrakech; Group B will be based in Agadir; Group C will be in Rabat; and Group D will be located in Tangiers.
Egypt’s former national team head coach Hasan Shehata took part in the draw for the preliminary and group phases.
