Iniesta wants to complete football career in Barcelona
Iniesta is set to play with the Spanish national team in the upcoming World Cup
Spanish footballer Andres Iniest is looking to end his career with FC Barcelona.
“When I joined FC Barcelona, [it] was the starting point to achieving a dream I had since I was 12,” Iniesta told Al Arabiya News Channel in a special interview aired Monday.
“In every game with Real Madrid we’re aware that we may win or lose, try to be fully focused before and during the game. It is not just about the players or the match, it is at an international level now,” Iniesta said.
The midfielder, who plays along with Lionel Messi, Xavier Creus and Gerard Piqué among others, commented on Real Madrid’s manager José Mourinho.
“Mourinho made the league more exciting especially with his public statements ahead of every game, but we compete with the team and not the coach,” he said.
During the special interview, Iniesta spoke about his ambitions for his national Spanish team in the upcoming world Cup.
