Egyptian football player Amr Zaki will join the Lebanese team al-Ahed S.C., after both sides reached a mutual agreement, the Cairo-based daily newspaper al-Ahram reported Monday.

“Zaki will sign a one-year contract with the club on Monday,” Ousama Helbawi, al-Ahed sporting club’s chairman, said.

The 31-year-old striker was playing with the Moroccan team Raja Casablanca until last February.

Zaki also played on the international scene with Hull City in England.

Despite being frequently injured during the past two years, Zaki remains a key player in the Egyptian national team.
