American pop star Rihanna wants to buy a UK football club after her plan to set up a football academy in her native Barbados, the Daily Mail reported Thursday
The British newspaper quoted a source close to the 26-year-old singer as saying she was “serious” about becoming a chairwoman or owner of a team in the UK, adding that it was her “big dream.”
Britain “is like a second home to her,” the source was quoted as saying. “She’s also hinted she may do something with an LA team.”
During the summer’s World Cup, Rihanna tweeted and shared images of herself posing with the victorious German players and holding the cup.
