Algeria tops Arab team in FIFA ranking
The worst movers in the world this month were Libya, who dropped 35 places to 113th
Algeria is the best-ranked Arab football team in the latest FIFA world rankings, according to the official status released Thursday on the football body website.
The Arab country, which is ranked 18, maintained the same position of last time’s ranking.
Equatorial Guinea, hosts of the Nations Cup which ended this week, soared into the top 50 for the first time, while Ivory Coast moved up eight places to 20th.

Separately, Iran became the best team in Asia for 2015, rising 10 places in comparison with last year’s ranking.
Germany is holding the lead of the ranking over Argentina and Columbia.
