Boxing King Mayweather insists on Berto or Mayfield fight, snubs Khan
Britain’s Khan has previously said that he wants a showdown with the Mayweather
Boxing king Floyd Mayweather dropped hints this week on who his next opponent is going to be as he is set to take part in the final bout of his glittering career in September.
“I'm going to fight Andre Berto or Karim Mayfield in September,” Mayweather told reporters, according to Sky Sports.
According to Boxnews24.com, the boxer dismissed the possibility to fight Amir Khan replying 'no' to reporters last Saturday.
Britain’s Khan has previously said that he wants a showdown with the Mayweather.
Berto, 34, is the WBA's 'ordinary' interim champion, who has lost two of his 22 bouts. The Haitian-American has lost three of his past six fights.
Meanwhile, Mayfield was beaten twice last year and has never fought for a world title.
Speculation has grown recently around who Mayweather will be facing in what could be his last fight.
