Sports brief: Asian League, Fifa election, Prince Ali, Champions League

Published: Updated:

In Group A competitions of the Asian Football Confederation Champions League, Saudi Itihad tied with its host Uzbek Lokomotiv goal with one goal for each of them.

In Group B, Saudi Al-Nasr will host Uzbek Bunyodkor. Al-Nasr has been experiencing difficulties at the local level, and it has lost its change to keep the title of the league as it comes in 7th place. It is waiting for a new technical leader after the departure of Italian Fabio Cannavaro, and contracting with Spanish Raul Caneda.

Prince Ali bin Al-Hussein, candidate for the presidency of the International Football Federation, has called for the postponement of the elections set on next Friday. The postponement request came after rejecting a request made by the Jordanian Prince for providing see-through rooms during the voting process in an attempt to prevent taking pictures of the ballot paper.

In the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League, the Spanish club Barcelona will be the guest of the English club Arsenal tonight.
