Iranian wrestler killed fighting in Syria

Iranian wrestler Said Khajeh Salehani has been killed during fighting in Syria, the Saudi Ajel news agency reported citing Iran’s wrestling federation official website.

Salehani, 28, was on his fourth deployment to Syria, when he was killed.

Tehran sends troops to Syria to battle alongside Iran-backed militia including Hezbollah, in their attempt to keep President Bashar al-Assad in power.
